It is incredibly important to flush your grey water tank due to the buildup of grease, scum, and food residue that gets trapped in the holding tank below your RV!

Neglecting your grey water tank can lead to clogs and unwanted odors which can be an inconvenience and incredibly expensive to fix!

1. Drain Your Gray Water Tank
It is super important to start the process of cleaning your grey water tank by draining the residual water that is already in the holding tank! Most RVs either have an automated draining system or a manual plug underneath the RV for easy access! Starting by draining ensures that there are no blockages before adding the Elemonate!

2. Add Elemonate

Now that your grey water tank is empty it’s time to add Elemonate! Simply open one of the tablets from the packaging and drop it into your sink, or shower drain. Next, turn on the water and allow that to dissolve the Elemonate tablet in the drain!

3. Take A Drive
Now that you have added the solution to the grey water tank we recommend leaving those faucets and showers running to fill up the tank enough for Elemonate to clean the bacteria and sludge out of your grey water holding tank! It doesn’t require the entire tank to be filled, but more water in the tank allows Elemonate to take action quicker!

  1. Rinse And Repeat

Once you have added water into the holding tank, it is recommended to hook up to your RV and drive around the block! By creating motion in that holding tank Elemonate starts to break down grime and debris inside of the tank!

  2. Drain Again

It is now time to repeat step number one, we are going to completely drain the grey water tank! As you drain the tank this time you should notice how dirty the water is! This is completely normal! You have successfully cleaned out your grey water tank!

6. Recommended Cleaning Schedule
We recommend cleaning your grey water tank monthly! If you can get yourself in the habit of cleaning the holding tank regularly you will never have to worry about spending thousands of dollars in RV service!

For less than a cup of coffee, you can protect your RV sewer system for half of a year!

Elemonate is a naturally produced product that has a super refreshing lemon scent that works upon activation!
